Placements24 is seeking a talented Full Stack Blockchain Developer to join a fully remote team with key operational ties to Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will build and enhance decentralized applications, shaping both frontend experiences and backend blockchain integration.

The role requires 4+ years in full-stack development (2+ in blockchain), with proficiency in React, Vue.js, or Angular, Solidity, web3.js or ethers.js, and backend languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking software development company specializing in decentralized applications, is seeking a talented Full Stack Blockchain Developer to join their fully remote team, with key operational ties to Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will be instrumental in building and enhancing innovative dApps, contributing to both the frontend user experience and the backend blockchain integration. This role requires a strong command of both traditional web development technologies and blockchain-specific languages and frameworks. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components of decentralized applications.
• Integrate smart contracts with frontend interfaces using libraries like web3.js or ethers.js.
• Design and implement user-friendly interfaces for dApps, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Develop and deploy smart contracts using Solidity or other relevant blockchain languages.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate concepts into functional features.
• Work with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) to build robust APIs and services.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability of the dApp ecosystem.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across the full stack.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging of dApp components.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in blockchain and web development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-stack development, with at least 2 years focusing on blockchain development.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Experience with smart contract development (Solidity preferred) and blockchain interaction libraries (web3.js, ethers.js).
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including distributed ledgers and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with backend development using Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting, with connectivity to our Mossel Bay, Western Cape hub.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
