Job summary

Kromco (Pty) Ltd in Grabouw is seeking a hands-on Logistics Foreman to manage bin logistics operations. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, budget control, and supervising a team to ensure accurate bin stock and proper storage of fruit.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of logistics/warehousing experience, supervisory experience, and knowledge of deciduous fruits and BRCGS standards. Afrikaans and English bilingual abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Logistics, Warehousing or a similar operational environment.
• Previous Supervisory or Management experience in a Logistics/Operational environment.
• Knowledge and experience of deciduous fruits.
• Knowledge of BRCGS standards.
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling, which includes controlling budget during season and off-season
• Overseeing fruit placements in correct locations and allocations
• Allocation of fruit to pre-sort, storage and packaging according to packing programme
• Scheduling of transport to move fruit and empty bins
• Planning of seasonal workers required
• Overseeing loading and unloading of cold rooms according to operational and quality specifications
• Correct and safe storage and management of empty bins
• Ensure continuous accuracy of bin stock
• Oversee MDWT program
• Full responsibility for team discipline and management of morale
• Manage overtime
• All other tasks related to the role
