iStaff Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Coordinator with fruit industry experience for the Northern Suburbs. The role requires Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification, plus over 3 years in the fruit sector. Willingness to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons is essential.

Responsibilities include managing freight rates, monitoring shipments, and generating weekly reports for clients and internal teams. You will also handle procurement docs and stock reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• More than 3 years experience from the fruit industry.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends in season.

Responsibilities

• Maintain freight rates, shipping costings and selling prices in the relevant systems and records.
• Monitor seasonal shipment programmes, fixed client programmes and actual shipment volumes against forecasts.
• Compile and distribute weekly client shipment reports and internal loading statistics.
• Capture and file purchase orders and provide procurement with weekly order summaries for packing allocations.
• Handle client queries relating to orders, stock availability, logistics, labelling, pricing and shipping documentation.
• Coordinate special-market labelling, import permits, shipping instructions and related documentation with clients and pack houses.
• Reconcile physical stock against system records daily, investigate discrepancies and flag ageing stock.
• Review shipping summaries, identify discrepancies and communicate relevant changes to clients.
• Provide producers with weekly market updates and pricing information in accordance with fixed-price agreements.
• Monitor packing progress against confirmed orders, coordinate stock allocations and transfers, and prepare load-out instructions to ensure timely shipment.
