Job summary

Bushwise is seeking a Sous Chef for our luxury safari lodge in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead the kitchen team, plan menus, manage stock and food costs, and ensure top-tier meals with strict hygiene for our guests.

Ideal candidates have professional chef experience in a large luxury lodge or 5-star hospitality, strong organisation, and a French language bonus. Live-in accommodation is provided at the lodge.

Qualifications

• Professional chef experience in a large luxury lodge or 5-star hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation and kitchen operations.
• Excellent menu planning and food cost control skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a kitchen team.
• Fluent French speaking ability is a huge bonus.
