Job summary

Africa Global Logistics South Africa is seeking an Operations Controller M/F in Johannesburg to coordinate client shipments from start to end within freight forwarding. You will ensure deadlines, maintain service levels, and support revenue margins under contract rates, handling invoicing and communications with clients and partners.

The role requires Matric and 3–5 years of controller-level freight forwarding experience (import/export).

Qualifications

• Matric is a minimum education requirement.
• A Freight Forwarding or related course qualification is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of relevant controller-level experience in freight forwarding (import/export).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all client shipments from start to end.
• Ensure client deadlines and procedures are followed.
• Maintain service levels and revenue margins per contract rates.
• Communicate progress to clients and liaise with suppliers and expeditors.
• Handle exports/import shipments in line with client requirements and SOPs.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and timely dispatch of invoices.
• Adhere to customs regulations and documentation turnaround.
