Job summary

Ozow in Cape Town is seeking a Fraud Manager to safeguard payments and merchants from financial crime. You will lead a high-performing fraud operations team, shaping strategy across EFT, card, and emerging methods, using data and automation to catch fraud early.

You will partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering and Data to design controls, monitor risk indicators, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years leading fraud/rraud risk teams in a high growth environment.
• Experience designing and implementing fraud prevention, detection and investigation controls.
• Track record managing fraud losses, risk controls and performance metrics.
• Experience partnering across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Commercial, Product, Eng and Data.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing Fraud Operations team with coaching and development.
• Own fraud rule design, risk appetite, and vendor relationships.
• Drive investigations, root-cause analysis and incident response.
• Collaborate with merchants’ fraud and risk teams to share intelligence.
• Translate strategy into operational execution and monitor risk indicators.
