Job summary

PayJoy is seeking a Fraud Prevention Representative to join our team in Johannesburg. You will use real-time risk evaluation and conversation with customers to prevent identity theft and other fraud vectors while supporting legitimate sales.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork across multiple countries, and the ability to analyze diverse fraud patterns and adapt to market-specific needs. You will investigate issues with dashboards and tools to drive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or support, preferably in financial services.
• Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Basic English language proficiency.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Real-time evaluation of transactions and transcripts for missing information.
• Prevent identity theft and other fraud vectors and report them.
• Assist in order origination by approving good sales and blocking bad ones.
• Report issues or bugs from dashboards or tools promptly.
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes, contributing to risk mitigation cross-functionally.
