Job summary

Digis, a Fiverr company, seeks an experienced engineer to work directly with enterprise customers in South Africa, translating business problems into AI-driven technical solutions and managing production deployments.

You will design AI agent integrations across voice, chat, email, and internal tools, deploy them into customer infrastructure, and monitor performance to iterate and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical software engineering experience.
• Proven track record with production deployments or system integrations.
• Experience in industrial automation, factory systems, or enterprise environments.
• 1+ years in computer vision, Edge AI, or AI-related systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with enterprise customers.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

About the Project

Our client is a fast-growing enterprise AI company that helps businesses build, test, deploy, and monitor AI agents for complex customer, employee, and back-office workflows.

The platform works across voice, chat, email, internal systems, and customer data flows. The company is actively expanding its Forward Deployed Engineering model, where engineers work closely with enterprise customers, understand real business problems, design solutions, deploy them into production, measure outcomes, and iterate.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with enterprise customers and local teams in South Africa.
• Understand customer operational workflows and translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Design and implement AI agent solutions for customer, employee, and back-office workflows.
• Integrate AI agents with customer systems, voice/chat/email channels, and internal tools.
• Deploy solutions into customer infrastructure and support production reliability.
• Monitor performance, measure outcomes, and iterate on deployed solutions.
• Prepare documentation, handover materials, and support customer training.
• Implement scaling improvements for case detection processes.
