Jobgether SRL is seeking a Forward Deployed Agile Software Engineer based in South Africa. You will work with clients to turn ambiguous needs into practical, production-ready AI-powered solutions, designing and building agentic workflows and full-stack software tailored to business requirements.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software experience, including AI-powered applications or agentic systems.
• Proficient in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages used for AI apps.
• Design infrastructure for AI agents to operate reliably (context, tools, memory, feedback).
• Experience with agentic workflow development and orchestration.
• Knowledge of AI systems design, including prompts, memory, tool use, and trade-offs.
• Strong API, distributed systems, cloud, and modern software practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to translate needs into requirements and delivery plans.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled applications and full-stack products.
• Build AI harness infrastructure including prompts, tools, and observability.
• Develop agent loops and design complex workflows with state machines.
• Create evaluation frameworks and testing strategies for quality and safety.
• Prototype rapidly and turn prototypes into production systems.
• Integrate AI solutions with client systems and data sources.
• Ensure safety, security, and reliability in autonomous systems.
• Instrument applications for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Share knowledge and contribute to technical discovery and pre-sales.
