Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Formulation Scientist for its East London, Eastern Cape R&D team. The role focuses on transforming APIs into safe, stable dosage forms and advancing drug delivery platforms. You will design dosage forms, perform pre-formulation studies, and collaborate across development and manufacturing to meet regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with 4–7 years of formulation experience, including solid

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Experience with solid oral dosage forms and formulation development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, injectables, and topicals.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation testing.
• Collaborate with analytical development, process development, and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare technical reports and development summaries for regulatory submissions.
• Stay updated on new drug delivery technologies and GMP compliance.
