Job summary

Merand Recruitment is assisting a well-established manufacturing client in the Western Cape to recruit a reliable Forklift Driver for a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will move materials and finished goods safely and support daily production operations.

Key tasks include forklift operation, loading/unloading, stock movement, inspections, and adherence to health and safety rules. A hands-on, punctual team player is essential for this busy site.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator licence or certificate.
• Previous forklift driving experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move materials, stock and finished products.
• Load and unload deliveries and assist with stock movement.
• Safely transport materials between production and storage areas.
• Assist with stock organisation and maintaining a clean, tidy warehouse.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
• Follow all health, safety and operational procedures.
• Assist the production team with general duties when required.
