Job summary

Limcaco in Limpopo Province seeks a Mines Supervisor to lead trackless board-and-pillar operations and provide senior on-site supervision.

The ideal candidate holds Grade 12 or equivalent, a Blasting Certificate, Mine Overseer’s ticket, a valid driver’s licence and a First Aid Certificate, with strong knowledge of MHSA and Mining Charter requirements. You will be responsible for safety and supervision on site.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Equivalent is required.
• Blasting Certificate (Scheduled Mines) is required.
• Mine Overseer’s ticket is required.
• Driver’s licence is required.
• First Aid Certificate is required.
• Insight into the Mining Charter is required.
• Sound knowledge of MHSA and Minerals Act is required.
• Computer literacy is necessary.

• Blasting Certificate (Scheduled Mines)
• Mine Overseer’s ticket.
• Driver’s licence
• At least 5 years’ experience in a trackless board and pillar mining;
• At least 5 years’ experience in senior supervision role
• Sound knowledge of the Mine, Health & Safety Act as well as the Minerals Act;
• Sound knowledge of Industrial Relations and the relevant Acts;
• Valid First Aid Certificate;
• Insight into the Mining Charter;
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to work Conops system.
