Overview

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To supervise and assist the team in the safe execution of all electrical activities

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• A recognized Trade Qualification (Section 13/26D) OR
• Proof of recognized completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) and a NTC2 (Recognized Trade Theory) Qualification is essential
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Electrician is essential
• Foreman Certificate would be considered advantageous
• Must have SAP knowledge
• Valid medical certificate or must be medically fit to obtain such a certificate

Key Performance Areas

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Supervise electrical maintenance activities
• Guide and assist Electricians with daily maintenance activities
• Maintain control of Electrical workshops, stores and main sub-stations
• Control and order of stock for all parts, equipment and materials required.
• Analyze and solve electrical problems
• Stay informed on the latest technology for application or replacement of present electrical technology and divulge the necessary information to personnel
• Attend to callouts with regards to electrical breakdowns
• Assist with fault finding of leaky feeder systems
