Job summary

The BEverage COMpany is seeking a laboratory analyst to conduct microbiological and analytical tests on raw materials and finished beverages to uphold quality and safety standards. The role involves reporting results, performing environmental testing, and ensuring compliance with SOPs.

Qualified candidates will have a Grade 12 and a BSc in Microbiology or related discipline, with at least 1 year of FMCG laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or higher education in a relevant science field.
• BSc in Microbiology or related qualification (or Diploma/BTech in Food Technology).
• Minimum 1 year product testing experience in FMCG.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological and analytical tests on raw materials and finished products using approved SOPs.
• Communicate results and assist in deviation investigations.
• Carry out non-product environmental testing (equipment, water, air) by plating.
• Ensure reagents are available and waste is disposed of safely.
• Support Health, Safety, Quality and food safety programs per SOP.
