Job summary

BevCo is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform microbiological and analytical tests on raw materials and finished products. You will ensure accurate reporting, support deviation investigations, and assist in maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

The role requires laboratory experience in FMCG, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a safety-focused environment. Training on SOPs and safety protocols will be provided.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed or equivalent.
• BSc in Microbiology or related qualification; diploma/ BTech considered.
• At least 1 year of product testing in FMCG.
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological and analytical testing on products and raw materials.
• Communicate results and assist in root-cause analysis for deviations.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of waste and reagents.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative tests including pH, turbidity, CO2, and other SOPs.
• Support health, safety and food safety programs and compliance.
