Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to source raw materials and packaging for an FMCG facility in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will drive cost-effective purchases while ensuring quality and timely delivery across production lines.

The role requires 3–5 years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with procurement software and MS Office. Collaboration with QA and production teams is essential to meet material specs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of purchasing principles and inventory management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, packaging, and other supplies for FMCG production.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure quality compliance.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and alternative materials.
