Placements24 is seeking a highly competent FMCG Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all operational functions at their Soweto-area facility. You will be responsible for production, warehousing, logistics, and ensuring quality and safety across the supply chain.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years in FMCG operations, with a proven track record of driving efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations management, with FMCG exposure.
• Proven track record of driving efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvements.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all daily operations including production, warehousing, and logistics to meet demand efficiently.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
• Lead, mentor, and manage operations teams; foster performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety regulations, and environmental standards across operations.
• Manage inventory, optimize supply chain processes, and minimize stock-outs and waste.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and finance to align operations with business goals.
