Job summary

Tiger Consumer Brands Limited, based in Germiston, is seeking a shift-based Plant Maintenance Technician to support the processing department. You will maintain mixers, ovens, conveyors and other equipment, perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding, and drive root-cause analyses to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to statutory requirements, with collaboration across maintenance teams to keep production lines available.

Qualifications

• 3 years of FMCG maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Planned and Reactive Maintenance on mixers, proofer, moulders, conveyors, ovens, coolers and slicing machinery.
• Maintain site services (boilers, air compressors, chillers, air dryers).
• Perform running inspections on plant machinery and site services.
• Fault-find electrical & instrumentation issues using multimeters, infrared scanners and drawings.
• Perform mechanical fault-finding using drawings and OEM manuals.
• Complete root cause failure analysis for breakdowns.
• Assist maintenance coordinator/manager to reduce downtime and product damage.
• Complete daily job cards and oversee planned and preventive maintenance.
