Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a diligent Merchandiser to join our FMCG client. You will perform in-store visits across the Mahikeng area, ensure products are displayed according to planograms, and optimize stock on shelves through hybrid field and remote planning tasks.

The role offers a hybrid model, with travel to retail locations, collaboration with store staff and marketing teams, and opportunities to work with leading brands.

Qualifications

• Experience as Merchandiser or in a similar retail or sales support role.
• Strong understanding of merchandising principles and visual display techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel to various retail locations around Mahikeng.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain product displays according to planograms.
• Ensure optimal stock levels and placement on shelves to maximize sales opportunities.
• Monitor competitor merchandising activities and provide feedback to sales/marketing teams.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store management and staff.
• Report on store conditions, sales performance and opportunities related to product placement.
