Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Merchandiser to enhance product visibility, stock levels, and in-store presentation for FMCG brands in Port Elizabeth. You will implement planograms, coordinate with store managers, and drive POS effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Merchandiser or in a retail sales support role, preferably within FMCG.
• Good understanding of merchandising principles and planogram execution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with store staff.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet store visit schedules in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain effective visual merchandising standards for all assigned FMCG products in retail stores.
• Ensure products are correctly priced, faced, and stocked on shelves according to planograms and company guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any stock discrepancies or out-of-stock situations to store management and sales representatives.
• Build strong relationships with store personnel to facilitate smooth execution of merchandising plans.
• Promote new products and special offers, ensuring prominent placement and effective point-of-sale materials.
• Conduct store visits regularly, assess store conditions, and provide feedback on merchandising effectiveness.
