Job summary

NBL Westmead Biscuits, part of AVI Limited, seeks an Engineering Manager in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead a 40+ strong engineering and maintenance team, shaping the site’s maintenance strategy, budgets, and CAPEX planning while driving reliability and safety across operations.

Ideal candidates have GCC Factories certification, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and at least 5 years in an Engineering Manager role within manufacturing, with strong people leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) is required.
• GCC Factories certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years as Engineering Manager in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and maintenance staff to support site objectives.
• Own maintenance budgets and forecast five-year capital plans.
• Improve equipment reliability (OEE) and maintenance processes.
• Drive safety and compliance across SHE, risk and site operations.
