Placements24 seeks a diligent Flight Dispatcher to join the Cape Town operations team in a hybrid capacity. You will plan and execute flight operations, ensuring maximum safety and efficiency by monitoring progress and communicating with pilots and ground crews.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Flight Dispatcher license, with strong meteorology, navigation knowledge and experience using flight planning software. This role demands excellent decision-making under pressure and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Flight Dispatcher or aviation operations role is essential.
• This role requires a valid Flight Dispatcher license or equivalent certification.
• Solid understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and navigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve flight plans considering weather, fuel, and ATC constraints.
• Monitor real-time flight progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Provide pilots with weather briefings, NOTAMs, and operational updates.
• Coordinate with ATC, ground operations and stations for seamless operations.
• Manage flight schedules and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct post-flight analysis to identify improvements.
