Placements24 is seeking a Senior Flight Dispatcher for our Pretoria operations control center. You will develop flight plans, monitor weather, and assess risks to support flight crews in real time.

The role requires a valid Flight Dispatcher certification, 5+ years in operations, and strong knowledge of meteorology, navigation, and ATC procedures. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Valid Flight Dispatcher certification or equivalent international license.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in flight operations or dispatch.
• Strong knowledge of aviation meteorology, navigation, and ATC procedures.
• Proficiency in flight planning software and operational databases.
• Excellent decision-making under pressure and multitasking.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and authorize flight plans considering weather, ATC, aircraft performance, and regulatory constraints.
• Monitor flight progress, weather patterns, and operational conditions.
• Provide flight information and support to crews, including routing updates.
• Conduct risk assessments and make timely safety decisions.
• Liaise with ATC, maintenance, and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies.
