Placements24 is seeking a Flight Dispatcher for a Polokwane-based airline to join the operations control center and ensure safe, economical flight planning and monitoring. You will work with pilots, ATC, and support teams to uphold regulatory compliance and company policies.

Responsibilities include planning flight plans, calculating fuel, monitoring progress en route, advising on weather and diversions, and coordinating with authorities.

Qualifications

• Valid Flight Dispatcher license issued by the relevant aviation authority.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in flight dispatch or airline operations control.
• Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations, meteorology, aerodynamics, and navigation.
• Proficiency in using flight planning software and systems.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make critical decisions.
• Must be able to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
