Placements24 is seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead a large vehicle fleet based in Pretoria. This role covers acquisition, maintenance, utilization, compliance, and cost control, with responsibility for a team of fleet personnel and safe, efficient operations in Gauteng's transport network.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, fleet management expertise, and a track record of optimizing operational efficiency while reducing costs across a complex fleet.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior fleet management role, managing large or complex fleets.
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, operations, logistics, and financial management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and data analysis.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is advantageous.

• Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet management, including vehicle acquisition, disposal, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime and efficient utilization.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
