Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics supervision.
• Proven experience in managing a team of drivers and technicians.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with transport laws and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of drivers and fleet maintenance personnel.
• Oversee daily operations of the vehicle fleet and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles.
• Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, licensing and legal requirements.
• Manage driver schedules, assignments and performance evaluations.
• Investigate and report on accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles.
• Maintain records of fleet maintenance, repairs and expenses.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate transport requirements.
• Implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency, safety and cost-effectiveness in Vereeniging.
