Job summary

St. George's University is seeking a Mechanic within the Transportation Department to maintain SGU's automotive fleet, including buses and trucks.

The role requires hands-on repair, diagnostics, and record-keeping to ensure safe, reliable transport for campus operations. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of practical mechanical experience.
• Formal certification in general mechanics from a recognized training establishment.
• Valid D & C-1 driver’s license for Grenada and capable of operating SGU Buses and trucks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair SGU’s automotive fleet and small mechanical equipment.
• Inspect and service automobiles, trucks and other equipment.
• Maintain repair records and work orders.
• Communicate with vendors for quotes and parts.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation department.
