Job summary

Dante Personnel is seeking a Fleet Controller for a FMCG operation in Middelburg. The role focuses on coordinating schedules and routes, monitoring fleet performance, and ensuring compliance with logistics processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience in fleet management, and the ability to liaise with warehouse, dispatch and sales teams to optimise uptime and costs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
• Diploma/Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• 35 years fleet or logistics control experience required.
• FMCG or high-volume distribution experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle schedules, routes and deliveries.
• Monitor fleet movements, GPS and vehicle performance.
• Manage fuel usage, maintenance, repairs and compliance.
• Maintain accurate fleet records and reports.
• Coordinate and support drivers.
• Monitor costs, identify efficiencies and reduce downtime.
• Liaise with warehouse, dispatch and sales teams.
