Liquid Thought Group in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead and scale operations in a growing fintech business. You will drive the operating model, processes and controls while leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency and service quality.

As a member of the executive team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, partner with banks and service providers, ensure regulatory compliance, and build high-performing teams to deliver reliable customer

Qualificações

• 15+ years of operational experience, including 5+ years at executive level.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments or financial services.
• Strong understanding of SA financial services regulatory environment.
• Proven track record of scaling operations in a growth business.
• Experience driving AI or automation initiatives within operations.
• Excellent process, systems and people leadership skills.
• The ability to be both strategic and hands on in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design operating model, processes and controls for a growing business.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including customer service, onboarding and payments operations.
• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Work with technology and product teams to deliver reliable customer experiences.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and sound risk management across the business.
• Manage operational partners, including banks, payment providers and outsourced service providers.
• Set and track operational KPIs, budgets and service levels.
• Build and lead high performing operational teams.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategy and execution.
