Job summary

Interpath in Cape Town, South Africa, seeks a Senior Associate Financial Modeller to build and maintain integrated financial models for corporate finance and transactions. You’ll collaborate with M&A, Debt Advisory, and Valuations teams, delivering robust analyses and client-ready insights.

Effective Excel skills, Power BI/Alteryx exposure, and a strong commercial mindset are essential to translate complex financial concepts into actionable decisions for clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building integrated financial models for corporate finance and transaction related projects.
• Strong understanding of debt and equity financing structures, valuations and M&A principles.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions and complex corporate structures is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel with exposure to data analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or similar.
• CFA, CA(SA) or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.

• Build models (cash flow, operational and decision‑support models) using financial modelling best practices.

• Analyze and manipulate complex datasets and leverage tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or equivalent to deliver meaningful insights.
• Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, commercially focused advice.
