Resumo da oferta

Headhunters in Gauteng, Benoni is seeking a senior finance professional to own job costing and management accounts in a growing manufacturing business. You’ll manage material, labour and overhead allocations and deliver month-end reporting.

The role requires CA(SA), CIMA(CGMA) or SAIPA, 5+ years in a senior finance post, and ERP experience (Palladium, Sage, SYSPRO). Salary is monthly and negotiable.

Qualificações

  • CA(SA), CIMA(CGMA) or SAIPA; CIMA is a strong advantage for costing.
  • A degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 5 years in a senior finance role in manufacturing.
  • Exposure to trade finance, customs duty drawback or export VAT.
  • Exposure to brewery or food-grade stainless steel equipment.
  • Job costing in project-based, make-to-order or engineer-to-order environments; metal fabrication/engineering equipment preferred.
  • Inventory and WIP valuation, stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Imported materials, landed costs and foreign currency transactions.
  • Producing month-end management accounts and managing an audit.
  • Managing at least one direct report.
  • Standard and actual costing, overhead absorption and variance analysis.
  • IFRS for SMEs or full IFRS, including IAS 2 and IFRS 15.
  • Experience with mid-market ERP (Palladium, Sage, SYSPRO or similar) with costing module.

Responsabilidades

  • Own the job costing model across all projects: material, labour, subcontract and overhead allocation per job.
  • Set and maintain labour and overhead recovery rates, and review them against actuals.
  • Compare quoted cost and margin with actual cost per project.
  • Explain variances to the MD and the project team.
  • Work with Sales and Projects on cost estimates so quotes reflect real cost.
  • Track buy-outs and supplier costs against project budgets as projects progress.
  • Value raw materials, WIP and finished goods accurately at each month-end.
  • Run stock counts and investigate variances.
  • Keep the stock ledger reconciled to the general ledger.
  • Manage imported stock costing, including landed cost and FX.
  • Deliver the monthly management accounts to an agreed timetable, including project margin reporting.
  • Keep balance sheet reconciliations current; clear suspense and control accounts monthly.
  • Apply revenue recognition policy consistently at project level.
  • Prepare for and manage the annual audit.
  • Maintain purchase, payment and stock controls appropriate to a growing manufacturer.
  • Oversee VAT, payroll taxes and customs compliance, including duty drawback claims.
  • Maintain the weekly rolling cash flow forecast.
  • Manage trade finance drawdowns and settlements and the facility's borrowing base reporting.
  • Own the Palladium finance and costing modules after go-live; drive data accuracy.
  • Manage, develop and review the work of the Accountant.
