Job summary

Smith Garb And Associates Cc in Pretoria West is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to take ownership of production costing, inventory valuation and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a BCom in Accounting or Cost & Management Accounting, plus a Post-Graduate Diploma and/or CIMA, with 5+ years costing experience in manufacturing, strong Excel and ERP experience (Sage X3 / SAP).

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting / Cost & Management Accounting.
• Post-Graduate Diploma and/or CIMA highly advantageous.
• 5+ years’ Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Production costing / cost per ton.
• Inventory valuation (WAC / standard costing).
• BOM structures & yield/process costing.
• Variance analysis.
• ERP systems experience (Sage X3 / SAP or similar).
• Advanced Excel

Responsibilities

• Manage production costing and costing models.
• Inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.
• Analyse variances and identify inefficiencies.
• Maintain BOMs, routings and costing structures on ERP.
• Prepare production and cost reports.
• Support stock control, working capital and audit requirements.
• Strong analytical ability.

• Ability to work closely with operations and finance teams.

A well-established manufacturing company in Pretoria West is looking for a well-experienced Cost Accountant to take ownership of production costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Minimum requirements:

• BCom Accounting / Cost & Management Accounting
• Post-Graduate Diploma and/or CIMA highly advantageous
• 5+ years’ Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with:
  • Production costing / cost per ton
  • Inventory valuation (WAC / standard costing)
  • BOM structures & yield/process costing
  • Variance analysis
• ERP systems experience (Sage X3 / SAP or similar)
• Advanced Excel
