Qualifications

• Oversee the full financial function, ensuring effective financial control and compliance
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and provide regular financial reporting to management
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities
• Oversee debtors, creditors, payroll, supplier payments, and cost control processes
• Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements
• Support audits, financial statement preparation, and the continuous improvement of financial systems and controls
• Develop cost models and provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in the relevant field
• Previous experience in healthcare, hospital, or medical billing environments is highly desirable.
• Exposure to practice management systems such as GoodX would be advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills, including report creation and financial analysis, are essential.
• Experience working with accounting software is required.
• Ability to interpret, analyse, and present financial data effectively.
• Familiarity with financial reporting dashboards would be beneficial.
• Provide regular weekly financial performance updates to management.
• Monitor and analyse revenue generated by doctors and departments.
• Track theatre performance, including cost-per-case analysis.
• Manage debtor's ageing, collections, and cash flow reporting.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Support strategic decision-making through accurate financial insights and reporting.
• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach to work.
• Build strong relationships with doctors, suppliers, and stakeholders through effective communication.
• Take ownership of responsibilities while maintaining high levels of accountability, integrity, and attention to detail.
