Frogg Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a Financial Controller/Manager to drive operational efficiency and SARS compliance across multiple stores. You will lead a finance team, consolidate results, and partner with operations to improve profitability.

The role requires SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA qualifications or articles, strong Excel skills, and experience with Pastel/Sage/Xero. Hybrid work with some early shifts to manage traffic is offered.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles or CIMA.
• 2-3 years post SAIPA/SAICA or CIMA experience.
• SAICA Articles OR AGA(SA) an added bonus but not a must.
• Strong knowledge of SARS compliance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero, etc.)

Responsabilidades

• Manage 3 finance staff (Payroll Manager, Creditors Manager and a Senior Accountant).
• Prepare and present monthly financial results per store and consolidated group.
• Analyze profitability (sales, costs, labor, overheads).
• Monitor key cost drivers including labor, and expenses.
• Ensure accurate daily sales reconciliation and cash control processes.
• Ensure SARS compliance (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax).
• Oversee audit readiness and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for finance and store processes.
• Design and enhance financial and operational reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital across stores.

Financial Manager position available in Cape Town.

Our commercial client is looking for a Financial Controller / Financial Manager to operational efficiency, and compliance across multiple stores while partnering with operations to drive profitability.

Location: Green Point, Cape Town.

Salary R68 000 – R 75 000 per month

Hybrid role (1-2 days at home). Early working hours for traffic.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles or CIMA
