Job summary

Well established manufacturing company in Stikland is seeking a Financial Manager with 3-5 years of relevant experience. You will work closely with management and other departments to support financial sustainability, profitability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include accurate financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management, strong controls, and sound decision-making. The role also covers debtors/creditors management, banking liaison, and leading the finance team.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Experience managing debtors, creditors and financial controls.
• Experience working with auditors, banks and other financial stakeholders.
• FMCG / manufacturing industry experience will be advantageous.

• Financial Reporting & Accuracy: Ensure accurate, complete and timely financial reporting, including month-end processes.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning: Manage budgeting and forecasting, monitor performance and provide variance analysis.
• Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Maintain liquidity through cash flow forecasting and working-capital management.
• Cost Control & Profitability: Monitor operating expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collections & Receivables: Oversee collections, debtor management and ageing.
• Creditors / Accounts Payable: Ensure suppliers are paid on time while protecting cash flow.
• Bank Communication & Relationship Management: Maintain relations with banking institutions and manage banking matters.
• Finance Requests / Funding Support: Coordinate finance, credit and funding requests.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain financial controls and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Management Reporting & Decision Support: Provide accurate financial information, analysis and insights.
• Finance Team & Process Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team and processes.

The Financial Manager will work closely with management and other departments to support the financial sustainability and profitability of the business, while ensuring compliance with relevant financial, statutory and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, effective budgeting and cash flow management, strong financial controls, and sound financial decision-making.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a financial management role or in a senior finance role
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Experience managing debtors, creditors and financial controls
• Experience working with auditors, banks and other financial stakeholders

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Financial Reporting & Accuracy: Ensure accurate, complete and timely financial reporting, including effective management of month-end processes and reporting requirements.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning: Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor financial performance against budget and provide meaningful variance analysis and management commentary.
• Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Maintain adequate liquidity through effective cash flow forecasting and working-capital management.
• Cost Control & Profitability: Monitor operating expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities and support initiatives aimed at improving profitability.
• Collections & Receivables: Oversee customer collections, debtor management and ageing to promote timely payment in accordance with agreed payment terms.
• Creditors / Accounts Payable: Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and within agreed terms, while protecting cash flow and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
• Bank Communication & Relationship Management: Maintain effective communication and relationships with banking institutions and ensure banking matters, facilities and documentation are managed timeously.
• Finance Requests / Funding Support: Coordinate and complete finance, credit, asset-finance and funding requests accurately and within required timelines.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain effective financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable statutory, tax, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Management Reporting & Decision Support: Provide management with accurate, relevant and decision-useful financial information, analysis and insights.
• Finance Team & Process Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, promote continuous improvement within finance processes and maintain clear ownership of financial controls and responsibilities
