Job summary

Bright Search Recruitment (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Financial Controller in the hospitality sector, based in South Africa. You will oversee hotel finance operations, ensure invoices align with approved orders, and review supplier reconciliations across age analysis.

The role requires an accounting or finance degree, 3–5 years in a hotel finance environment, and strong Excel/IFRS/VAT expertise. Knowledge of Opera PMS and Sage 300 is advantageous.

• Education: Relevant Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive finance experience within a hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Systems: Advanced proficiency in hotel financial management systems (e.g., Sage 300/Accpac, Protel, Opera PMS, Micros POS, Materials Control) and online banking platforms.
• Excel Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliations.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of IFRS, VAT legislation, and hotel operational processes.

• Education: Relevant Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 35 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role within a star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Systems: Advanced proficiency in hotel financial management systems (e.g., Sage 300/Accpac, Protel, Opera PMS, Micros POS, Materials Control) and online banking platforms.
• Excel Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliations.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), South African VAT legislation, and hotel operational processes.
