Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive finance experience, hospitality sector preferred.
• Advanced Excel and financial system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, reconciliations and analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Oversee banking, cash flow, and payments.
• Prepare journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure VAT compliance and statutory reporting.
• Monitor AP/AR and operating costs.
• Oversee stock control and purchasing processes.
• Assist with audit preparations and internal controls.

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Controller to join a luxury private game reserve in Paterson, Eastern Cape. This position is suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys balancing strategic financial oversight with hands‑on operational finance responsibilities. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, overseeing reporting processes, managing reconciliations and banking functions, supporting budgeting activities and ensuring full compliance with financial controls and statutory requirements. The role requires strong leadership, analytical ability and previous hospitality finance experience.

Job Description & Requirements

• Prepare monthly management reports, reconciliations and financial analyses.
• Support annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
• Manage banking functions, cash flow and payment preparations.
• Prepare journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
