Job summary

HospitalityandOutdoor is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a luxury private game reserve in Paterson, Eastern Cape. The role blends strategic financial oversight with hands-on operational finance, reporting to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities include monthly reports, budgeting, cash flow management, VAT/compliance, and internal controls. A relevant finance degree and 3–5 years in hospitality finance are essential. Live-in, Monday–Friday work cycle.

Qualifications

• Hospitality finance experience essential.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting, reporting and internal controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, reconciliations and analyses.
• Support annual budgeting and reforecasting processes.
• Manage banking functions, cash flow and payments.
• Prepare journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure VAT compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and operating costs.
• Oversee stock control and purchasing processes.
• Support audit preparations and internal controls.
