Job summary

I Grow Wealth Investments is seeking a qualified accountant to join our team in South Africa. The ideal candidate has SAIPA registration and 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounts experience, with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and proficiency in Xero.

You will capture supplier invoices, raise invoices, process payments, reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly schedules and draft management reports. Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA registration.
• 2–3 years bookkeeping or accounts experience.
• Knowledge of SA VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL.

Responsibilities

• Capture supplier bills, invoices and receipts accurately, and code them to the correct accounts.
• Raise invoices and commission statements, allocate receipts and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare weekly payment runs for the Financial Manager's approval.
• Reconcile bank and clear unallocated items.
• Post journals and prepare accruals, prepaid and month-end schedules.
• Provide draft reports, including aged debtors and creditors, cash position and budget-versus actual extracts.
• Keep supporting documents filed and ready for audit and SARS queries.
• Support the Financial Manager with ad hoc requests and month-end deadlines.
• Solvency/POA/Auditors letters as per Cara’s directive.

Minimum requirements (Advantageous):

• Professional Accountant (SA) (registered with SAIPA)
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' bookkeeping or accounts experience.
• Working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software.
• Understanding of South African VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and discretion with confidential client data.
• Clear communication and the ability to meet deadlines.
