Job summary

Click Learning in Johannesburg is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Administrator to own the day-to-day transactional engine of our finance function. You will cover payables, receivables, cashbook, and reconciliations in a fast-moving EdTech environment.

You will manage the full P2P cycle with Xero, generate invoices for funders and schools, maintain AR, issue SARS Section 18A certificates, and support monthly and quarterly reporting. Strong process and SARS compliance experience highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in Bookkeeping/Financial Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years as a financial administrator with solid bookkeeping skills including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and cashbook processing.
  • Experience with 3-way matching, PO workflows, and payment preparation.
  • Xero experience is non-negotiable.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace or Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SARS compliance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle, including PO creation, 3-way matching and invoice capture in Xero.
  • Verify supplier invoices for accuracy before processing.
  • Prepare supplier reconciliations and manage payment staging per terms; review overdue creditors.
  • Generate customer invoices and billing statements for funders and schools; maintain AR ledger and follow up on payments.
  • Allocate daily bank transactions across platforms and Xero; issue Section 18A certificates per SARS requirements.
  • Update cash flow forecast daily/weekly; perform monthly reconciliations and provide financial analysis for reporting packs.
  • Draft and maintain SOPs; drive process improvements and ensure audit-readiness and SARS compliance.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Administrator to own the day-to-day transactional engine of our finance function. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives on process, and is comfortable working across payables, receivables, cashbook, and reconciliations in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll do?
Payments & Creditors
  • Manage the full procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle, including purchase order creation, 3-way matching, and invoice capture in Xero
  • Verify supplier invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing
  • Prepare and maintain supplier reconciliations and manage payment staging per contractual terms
  • Perform regular reviews of outstanding commitments and overdue creditors
Income & Debtors
  • Generate accurate customer invoices and billing statements for funders and schools
  • Maintain the accounts receivable ledger and actively follow up on outstanding payments
  • Allocate daily bank transactions across multiple banking platforms and Xero
  • Issue Section 18A tax certificates in compliance with SARS requirements
Cashbook & Reporting
  • Update the cash flow forecast daily and weekly; monitor upcoming commitments proactively
  • Perform comprehensive monthly reconciliations and provide clean financial analysis to the finance team
  • Support the preparation of quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reporting packs
Process & Compliance
  • Draft and maintain SOPs for all significant transaction classes
  • Identify and drive process optimisation projects
  • Ensure full audit-readiness and compliance with SARS, and internal controls
Technical skills required:
  • Diploma in Bookkeeping, Financial Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial administrator with solid bookkeeping skills: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cashbook processing
  • Experience with 3-way matching, PO workflows, and payment preparation
  • Xero experience is non-negotiable
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) or Microsoft Excel
