Financial Accountant
We’re part of Super Group, a NYSE-listed digital gaming company. We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to support the delivery of accounting for all transactions, reconciliations, and reporting for the Support Silo and related entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, ensuring correct posting by product, region, platform, brand, and event name.
- Reconcile gaming data in Microsoft Business Central with Player Activity Reports, matching vendors and customers and addressing anomalies.
- Prepare weekly open‑item reports, follow up on balances, and calculate usage fees and rebates.
- Accurately post all invoices, accruals, prepayments, intercompany and intergroup billings; run monthly depreciation and foreign‑exchange processes.
- Resolve queries that arise during the reporting cycle.
- Split financial data by product, region, platform, brand, and game as needed; prepare income statements and balance sheets with detailed commentary.
- Analyse performance variances and provide insight into key business drivers.
- Prepare and coordinate internal and external audit files; liaise with stakeholders; resolve audit queries.
- Prepare gaming tax and VAT calculations per region; compile reporting for annual returns, regulatory submissions, and statutory reporting; reconcile VAT and tax vendor accounts; ensure timely submissions and payments.
- Run weekly vendor open‑item reports, coordinate payments, verify cash availability, and prepare payment schedules.
- Assist in drafting and maintaining financial process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Support business continuity and control through documented processes.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve agreed financial KPIs; communicate effectively; identify risks and escalations.
- Participate in bi‑annual objective‑setting and performance review processes.
- Perform additional ad‑hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- B.Com or finance related degree.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Experience working collaboratively in cross‑functional teams, delivering on time and within scope.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain effectiveness.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central.
- Knowledge of gaming tax and VAT processes.
