Job summary

Headhunters in George, Western Cape, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, up to trial balance, payroll processing, and preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.

The role requires a Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting, familiarity with CaseWare and Xero, and supervisory capability. You will liaise with clients and management to ensure accurate financial information and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Financial Accounting or related field.
• Experience in an accounting practice environment is advantageous.
• Supervisory or management experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Proven experience in full-function bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statements.
• Strong accounting principles and reporting standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple clients.
• Perform bookkeeping up to trial balance.
• Process payroll and related statutory submissions.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
• Compile financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Perform bank, creditor, debtor, and payroll reconciliations.
• Assist clients with queries and provide professional service and support.
• Liaise with management and clients regarding financial information and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and statutory requirements.
