Apex Group in Johannesburg seeks a Manager to oversee financial reporting for portfolios across the private debt and related teams, reporting to an Associate Director within the Business Services division. You will mentor staff, implement procedures for the Johannesburg office and ensure compliance with regulatory and GAAP/IFRS standards.

Ideal candidates hold a CA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent and 3–4 years’ experience in finance, with strong leadership abilities to drive performance and client

Formación

• Professional qualification – CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Ideally three - four years’ experience in a similar relevant capacity in the finance industry.
• An understanding of regulatory and financial reporting regime and IFRS.
• Ability to motivate and influence a team, high level of managerial skills.

Responsabilidades

• Joint responsibility for assisting in development of the teams in Johannesburg and for day-to-day financial reporting and management of portfolios across these teams.
• Assisting in the management of specialised services teams on all aspects of financial reporting, including working with clients to ensure structures run efficiently and in compliance with laws and obligations.
• Coordinate NAVs, Management Reporting and Statutory Reporting to ensure accounting and regulatory obligations are met.
• Ensure quality control prior to review and approval of payments, calculations and transactions.
• Develop and implement entity customer-specific reporting procedures; ensure reporting complies with local law and IFRS.
• Develop and maintain divisional policies and procedures; support implementation of new structures.
• Oversee day-to-day tasks and delegate across managers; support new structures.
• Act as primary contact with auditors for planning and coordinating audits.
