Job summary
Old Mutual in Cape Town is seeking a seasoned Business Architect to shape and optimise finance processes, capabilities and operating models across finance, data and systems.
You will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Owners and Platform Owners to define current and target state architectures, drive standardisation, and ensure alignment with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM/HFM, Workiva and the Finance Data Warehouse.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years in finance business architecture or process improvement.
- Experience with finance systems like Oracle ERP/EPM/HFM or similar.
- Exposure to finance data environments and reporting tools such as Workiva/IDU.
- Proficient in BPMN and cross-functional process modelling.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain end-to-end finance process architectures (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash).
- Define finance capability models and value streams; establish current/target-state views.
- Identify cross-process inefficiencies and standardisation opportunities; drive alignment.
- Collaborate with Product, Business and Platform Owners to prioritise improvements.
- Govern architecture standards and guide structured demand shaping across domains.
