Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with SAICA articles completed.
• 3+ years post-articles experience in financial services advantageous.
• 1+ year team management experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Exposure to regulatory frameworks in financial services.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Sage and CaseWare experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Review financial statements for IFRS compliance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with financial services authorities.
• Lead budgeting and financial planning cycles.
• Review month-end files, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee journal entries and balance sheet integrity.
• Prepare and review statutory returns.
• Interpret financial results and provide actionable insights.
• Manage external audit process and audit readiness.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, IFRS, tax, VAT, and insurance regulations.

You will be responsible for managing the full accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and effective stakeholder engagement.

The role requires a hands‑on leader who can operate both strategically and operationally -reviewing financials in detail while guiding and developing a finance team.

Duties

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Review financial statements for full IFRS compliance
• Ensure regulatory compliance with relevant financial services authorities
• Manage daily cash flow and capital forecasting processes
• Lead budgeting and financial planning cycles
• Review month-end files, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
