Job summary

RecruiTech is seeking a dynamic Financial Manager for a courier-sector client to own the finance function and support growth. You will lead the monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis, and drive cash flow management and financial controls across the business.

You will manage audits, ensure IFRS compliance and SA tax requirements, mentor the finance team, and provide senior management with actionable financial insights to enable strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or a related field.
• 7+ years experience within a finance environment.
• At least 3–5 years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant role.
• Proven experience leading and managing a finance team.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation.
• Solid experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial controls.
• Experience managing audits and statutory submissions.
• Experience within the Courier, Logistics, Transport or Distribution industry.
• A professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA, ACCA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the overall finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead the month-end close, management accounts and financial analysis.

• Oversee cash flow, working capital, debtors and creditors.
• Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Manage VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions and reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure ongoing audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost control, financial processes and operational efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, driving accountability and performance.
• Provide commercial financial insights to senior management and operational stakeholders.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Ensure financial systems, controls and data remain accurate and effective.
• Support strategic business decisions through financial analysis, reporting and forecasting.
