Job summary

The Talent Room in Somerset West, South Africa, is seeking a junior finance assistant to support day-to-day finance and accounting administration and help maintain accurate financial records.

You will capture and process transactions, assist with accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, and month-end tasks, while providing general admin support to the finance team and ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Eligibility for YES Programme and South African citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day finance and accounting administration.
• Capture and process financial transactions accurately.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain financial records and documentation.
• Assist with invoicing and processing payments.
• Support month-end administration and data capture.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
• Perform other finance-related duties as required.
