ALPLA INC. Ballito plant in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking flexible personnel for temporary roles across production, packaging, quality control, and logistics.

You'll adapt to different tasks, operate basic plant machinery, assist with PET feedstock sorting, production monitoring, and packaging, while upholding safety and quality standards. Shifts including early mornings or weekends may apply as production needs demand.

Responsibilities

• Assist multiple departments such as production, packaging, quality control, and logistics.
• Operate machinery, sort PET feedstock, monitor lines, and package products.
• Support quality checks and ensure proper labelling and data documentation.
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Load/unload materials, organize stock, and transport goods around the plant.
• Support maintenance by performing minor repairs or routine tasks.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow PPE safety procedures.
• Participate in cross-training to cover a wide range of roles.
• Assist with special projects or plant shutdowns as needed.

• Step in to assist various departments such as production, packaging, quality control, and logistics, depending on operational needs.
• Adapt to different roles within the plant, providing support to ensure minimal disruption in production processes.
• Operate machinery, assist with sorting PET feedstock, monitor production lines, or package products as needed to meet production targets.
• Help with quality checks to ensure finished PET products meet plant standards.
• Temporarily operate machines like forklifts, extruders, or balers, depending on certifications and training, to keep production moving smoothly.
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting in the absence of regular operators.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials, organizing stock, and transporting raw or finished goods throughout the plant.
• Support the maintenance team by performing minor repairs or maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and organizing work areas to ensure operational efficiency.
• Assist with quality inspections, including checking product consistency, ensuring proper labelling, and documenting production data.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing various roles.
• Work closely with all departments, providing temporary assistance while maintaining clear communication to ensure a smooth transition between roles.
• Participating in cross-training opportunities to develop skills in various areas, ensuring readiness to cover a wide range of roles.
• Assist with special projects or tasks assigned by management, such as plant cleanups, equipment installations, or process improvement initiatives.
• Provide additional support during plant shutdowns or maintenance periods.
