Sidel is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Engineer (Mechanical / Mechatronic) to lead installation, startup, commissioning and testing of rotary blowing equipment at customer sites in South Africa and beyond.

The role requires at least 5 years in field services, a mechanical/mechatronics engineering degree, and fluent English with strong reporting capabilities. Travel up to 90% is expected, domestically and internationally, with PET blowing machine experience being highly valuable.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years in field services on high-speed blowing machines.
• Graduate in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in English; strong reporting and communication skills.
• Willing to travel up to 90% (domestic and international).
• Experience with PET Blowing machines is required; experience with other packaging equipment is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Install, qualify, test and evaluate equipment performance at customer sites in line with specs.
• Operate mechanical systems and HMIs for regular activities and troubleshooting per SOPs.
• Perform electrical work, such as cable wiring, as required.
• Document non-conformities and generate technical reports of performed activities.
• On-site mentoring and coaching of junior colleagues; coordinate with Installation Site Manager.

Your opportunity

Sidel is looking for a self-motivated Field Service Engineer (FSE) specializing in High-Speed Rotary Blowing machine technology. Performs Installation, startup, commissioning, and test of the Sidel Equipment supplied to customer sites.

Your Mission

• Experienced with strong Field Service (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electromechanical) background - International and Domestic (Good level of communication and reporting Internal and external)
• MUST be knowledgeable and experienced with PET Blowing machine.
• Experienced with Plasma Coating Technology, it is ADVANTAGE.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in ancillary.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Installation, Qualification & Testing and evaluate equipment performance at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications.
• Operate on Mechanical systems, HMI for regular activities and troubleshooting as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Execute electrical work (e.g., cable wiring)
• Properly handle, check, and transfer equipment non-conformities.
• Prepare Job Progress and technical reports in reference to carried-out activities.
• Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Perform activities in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sidel coordination plan (HSE) and customer rules.
• Report after sales opportunities detected on Customer site.
• Coach junior colleagues on the on-site behavior, technical activities, troubleshooting and reporting deliverables.
• Report to the Installation Site Manager for team site activities.

Your Profile

• Min 5 years' experience in field services - High speed Blowing machine.
• Graduate of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• English fluent, written and spoken. Good in reporting.
• Able to travel up to 90% including domestic and international.
• Experience in the beverage CAN and GLASS is plus.
• Experinece with other packaging equipment e.g. Labeler and Filler is Plus.
• Knowledgeable with the PLC (Siemens / B&R / ELAU) is plus.
