Job summary

Qualifications

• NQF Level 6 qualification
• 3–5 years collections experience
• Field collections experience advantageous
• Valid driver’s license with no endorsements
• Willingness to travel within the operational area
• Position based in Durban

Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk and impaired accounts proactively.
• Negotiate and implement rehabilitation solutions such as debt consolidation and forbearance.
• Conduct financial assessments and evaluate customer affordability.
• Locate and engage customers in default through face-to-face interactions.
• Recover arrears and financed assets while minimizing losses to the bank.
• Inspect and value movable and immovable assets.
• Support legal recovery processes, including repossessions and court attendance as required.
• Conduct onsite assessments of businesses and enterprises to determine security value.
• Manage portfolio performance through planning, prioritization, reporting and cost control.
• Collaborate with collections teams, legal departments, debt counsellors and external parties to recover assets while complying with laws and policies.
